50 Year Old Tricycle Man Rapes 10 Year Old Girl In Nigeria ,
A 50-year-old man, Kelvin Ezeigbo has been apprehended by the police for reportedly raping a 10-year-old pupil, Esther, by the roadside in Oke-Ira, Ogba, Lagos.
It was learnt that Esther and Ezeigbo were neigbours on Olatunde Close, where the victim resides with her aunt.Her aunt on April 26 around 9pm sent Esther on an errand and she was returning home when the suspect waylaid her.
Ezeigbo, a father of two, had reportedly given the minor some money and persuaded her to follow him, but she refused. The suspect resorted to force, dragging her into a tricycle parked by the roadside.
Ezeigbo reportedly covered her mouth to prevent her from raising the alarm and raped her.
Esther, on getting home, informed her aunt about the incident, which was reported at the Area G Command, Ogba.
Ezeigbo, who was said to have denied raping the girl, was arrested and arraigned by a police prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, before a magistrate’s court in Ogba on two counts of rape.

See How Niger Delta Militants Blow Up Chevron Valve Platform
Militants in the Niger Delta region have continued their onslaught on oil installations in the area with the blowing up of the Chevron Valve Platform in Abiteye, Warri North council area of Delta State.
The incident it was gathered occurred at about 10:40pm on Wednesday.Though the company’s Public Affairs Manager, Deji Haastrup could not be reached for comments on the incident, an official of the Department of Security Services, DSS who spoke on anonymity, confirmed the incident adding that the platform was totally destroyed with the use of dynamites.
The security source further hinted that the platform is a major connecting point where all other platforms link up and serves as a fulcrum to chevron BOP and the Chevron Tank farm thereby halting all operations of the company in the region.
Claiming responsibility for the incident, the Niger Delta Avengers, a militant group in the region in a statement on Wednesday night, while attributing the incident to the effort of its strike Team 6, stated that attack on the facility is in line with its promise to the Nigerian government to cripple the economy.
The group which had earlier claimed responsibility for destroying the Forcados 48-inch Export Pipeline, also threatened to attack oil facilities in Lagos and Abuja, the nation’s capital.
“We want to pass this message to the all international oil companies operating in the Niger Delta that the Nigeria Military can’t protect their facilities. They should talk to the federal government to meet our demands else more mishaps will befall their installations.
“Until our demands are met, no repair works should be done at the blast site,” the group added.

American singer Prince – who passed away on April 21 at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota – will get a special tribute at 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
The film festival will begin on Wednesday 11 May and run until Sunday, 22 May.
With the ability to transcend genres, Prince not only produced 39 albums he was also a star of the big screen as well. He won the Oscar for Best Original Song Score in 1984 for rock musical drama Purple Rain – named after the album and single of the same name.
Aside from his own films, he contributed several tracks to movie and TV

On his recent visit to Lagos, Nigeria on April 29, Jermaine Jackson – one of the famous music group, Jackson5 and brother to late music icon, Michael Jackson – revealed the music family’s plan to establish a musical academy in Lagos to raise global talents out of Nigeria.
Jermaine, while on a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde at the state government secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos, said a plan to construct the Jackson Academy Performing Art School in the state is in the works.
‘There is a lot of great talents here and we want to use our 50 years of experience in being in the business to teach the arts. We want to construct the Jackson Academy Performing Art School here.‘
‘It will have a curriculum and also will teach music, directing, film, lightening, producing, dancing and so on. We want to get the talents here ready for the global market. I do believe that the drums and the beat started from here,’ he said.

Nigerian record label, Chocolate City led by MI Abaga and Audu Maikori have parted ways with one of its new signee and fast rising rapper, Milli.
Milli creeped into our consciousness with his efforts on MI Abaga’s ‘Chairman’ album in 2014. He got signed to MI’s ‘Loopy Music’ in January 2015 and when Choc City and Loopy Music merged in mid-2015, he officially became signed to Choc City.

Nollywood Director and Screenwriter, Ike Nnaebue took to his Instagram page this morning to announce the passing of upcoming actress, Genevieve Nene pictured above. She died yesterday May 3rd in Lagos.
Two weeks ago, Nene shared on her Instagram page that she was very sick and prayed for God to heal her.
Many of her fans have gone on her page to pay their condolence and express their shock at her demise. She has featured in movies such as Hottest Strippers, Hottest Virgins, Quest Of A Life Time, Romantic Heart, Mistake Women Make amongst others. May her soul rest in peace Amen.
