Cannes Film To Honour Late Prince @ 2016 Cannes Film Festival
The film festival will begin on this day next week and run until Sunday, 22 May.
American singer Prince – who passed away on April 21 at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota – will get a special tribute at 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
The film festival will begin on Wednesday 11 May and run until Sunday, 22 May.
With the ability to transcend genres, Prince not only produced 39 albums he was also a star of the big screen as well. He won the Oscar for Best Original Song Score in 1984 for rock musical drama Purple Rain – named after the album and single of the same name.
Aside from his own films, he contributed several tracks to movie and TV
soundtracks including Tim Burton’s Batman, Spike Lee’s Girl 6 and Happy Feet.
